“At the start of 2015, I set a goal of completing an Ironman distance triathlon and signed up for the September 20th Ironman – Lake Tahoe. As a competitive athlete, yet one who had not even raced a marathon let alone a triathlon, I was well aware that I needed a coach to guide me in my training and to set me on a path to success. Enter Rachel Gerlach. Having worked with several trainers in the past and competed in collegiate athletics under the guidance of outstanding coaches, I had quite a high bar in mind as to what I knew made a terrific leader in this arena. Rachel not only met this bar, she far exceeded my expectations.
What sets Rachel apart is her personal approach to training. She took the time to get to know me as a person, identified my skills, strengths, weaknesses, and goals, and understood my desire to do an Ironman distance competition. In doing so, Rachel exhibited an exemplary attention to detail in creating my workouts that set me up for success at Lake Tahoe. This was most evident in her creative approach to my workouts where I was constantly challenged with varying routines and given new locations in which to test my endurance. Not only did this keep my mind and body fresh, it made my workouts enjoyable; a difficult feat for such long-distance training! In addition, Rachel’s expertise in nutrition was invaluable in helping to craft a nutrition plan that supported my training. Moreover, Rachel was a true professional in every sense of the word, but her professionalism was perfectly balanced with a personality that quite clearly evinced the attributes of a genuine person who had found her calling helping others achieve their goals.
Finally, no matter what your age or athletic ability, Rachel has the knowledge, skills, and personality to help you realize your fitness objectives. She helped me become an Ironman. There is no limit to what she can do for you!” – David Roth
